Uplands Golf Club

Parkland golf course on Cadboro Bay Road, established in 1922, with memberships, bookable tee times, a pro shop and events.

Known for a flat, walkable course that calls itself the one you can walk for life

Our take

The club started at Macaulay Point in Esquimalt, where cattle and sheep sometimes held up play. In 1922 it leased part of the Hudson's Bay Company's old Uplands Farm, renamed itself Uplands and hit its first ball on July 1. Two clubhouses burned, in 1925 and again 37 years later. The course is an Audubon sanctuary with more than 100 bird species recorded, and it has hosted the PGA Tour Americas stop in Victoria since 2008.
