Our take
Henderson has served Oak Bay since 1972. Next door is the Henderson Par 3, a wooded nine-hole course with no tee times and no carts, where an adult round is $12.75 and the second is half price. A 1.1-kilometre chip trail loops the course, with a 14-station outdoor fitness circuit along the way. Inside, the gym windows look straight out over the gardens and the golf course.
Local tipGolf closes for the season on November 22. Club rentals start at $2.25. The pool is at Oak Bay Rec, not here.

- Building hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.Source
