Our take

Built into the new Oak Bay High in 2015, the centre does two jobs. It runs licensed before and after school care for up to 120 Willows School kids, with rides to and from school. It is also home to the Youth Centre, a drop-in room for ages 11 to 18 with a kitchen, computers and games. The Youth Centre hosts birthday parties for kids 8 and up, too.

Local tipThere's an unsupervised beginner skate area by the Goldsmith Street lot, open dawn to dusk. The Youth Centre closes in July and August.
