Pharmasave Oak Bay

Owner-operated pharmacy in the village filling prescriptions, giving flu shots, and doing compliance packaging and compounding.

Known for three generations of the Tucker family behind the counter

Our take

Roy Tucker bought Newport Pharmacy in 1962. In 1977 he did a deal with John Weicker, whose pharmacy stood where this store is now, and by 1981 the family was running one of the first Pharmasaves in Canada. His son Tony has run it since 1985, with his wife Karen. Tony and his twin, Jeff, made deliveries by bike as kids, and nearly everyone in the family has worked here at some point.

Local tipBring expired medications and used sharps back here. Same-day delivery is available, too.
