Deadbeetz Burgers

Burger counter on Oak Bay Avenue whose signature burger uses house pickled beets; open daily for takeout and online orders.

Known for the Beatrice burger, topped with house-pickled beets

Our take

Karrie Hill got the idea from the beetroot on burgers in Australia. She ran purple food trucks for years, with an episode of Food Network's Eat St. along the way, before opening this restaurant at Amphion Street in 2019, just over the line in Victoria. The Beatrice burger is the signature, with root vegetable chips on the side. There's a cashew chickpea burger and a vegan quinoa burger, too.

Local tipGluten-free buns are available, but the kitchen can't rule out cross-contamination.
