Oak Bay gets $70,000 for climate planning

Oak Bay will receive $70,000 to develop a community climate action plan and define the scope of future resilience and adaptation work.

The grant is part of $34.2 million announced for 141 municipal adaptation projects through the Green Municipal Fund's Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation initiative.

The useful distinction is in the title: this pays for planning and scoping, not a finished capital project. What gets built comes later.
