Oak Bay Christmas Light Up and Truck Parade 2026
Santa arrives by fire truck on Nov. 29. Six days later, the truck parade rolls down Oak Bay Avenue. Here’s when to go and where to bring a food donation.
By Oak Bay Local ·
One fire truck brings Santa to Oak Bay Village on Sunday, November 29. The following Saturday, dozens of trucks come through for a food drive. Put the first one on the afternoon calendar and the second one after dark.
Sunday, November 29 | Christmas Light Up
2 to 5 p.m. in Oak Bay Village. Start at 2 p.m. if you’re coming for street games, crafts, roasted chestnuts or the Santa letter station. The festival schedule puts stage entertainment at 3 p.m. and Santa’s arrival aboard an Oak Bay fire truck at 5 p.m.
If Santa is the main event for your household, make 5 p.m. the time you plan around. If you’re there for the afternoon, give the kids a job on the way in: find the mailbox for Santa’s letters.
Check the District’s November 29 listing. See the Light Up schedule.
Saturday, December 5 | Truck Parade and Food Drive
Around 6 p.m. on Oak Bay Avenue. Destination Greater Victoria lists a 5 p.m. start at Ogden Point. The organizer’s map puts the trucks in Oak Bay Village around 6 p.m. Times along the route are approximate, so use the tracker before heading out.
Bring food to Municipal Hall. The District lists the lawn at Oak Bay Municipal Hall, 2167 Oak Bay Avenue, as the food donation drop-off. The Village’s holiday schedule puts food collection and music there from 5 p.m. If you’re meeting friends and bringing a donation, the hall gives you a single landmark for both.
The route comes around the waterfront before heading through the Village and on toward downtown Victoria. If you’re watching elsewhere, pick your spot from the route map and check the tracker for the convoy’s progress.
