Ruth & Dean

Estevan Village cafe and bakery serving brunch, lunch, Monogram coffee, pastries and cakes by the slice or whole.

Known for a biscuit breakfast sandwich with chimichurri, and cake by the slice

Our take

The name comes from the middle names of founders Susannah Bryan and Robert Smith, who started out selling cakes and pies online. The Estevan café took over the old Sunday's Child space in January 2020 without missing a day of service. The breakfast sandwich is a buttermilk biscuit with chimichurri, a Lockwood Farm egg, cheddar, tomato and avocado. Willows Beach is a short walk away, which helps if you had cake too.

Local tipThere's one daily cake, sold whole or by the slice, and the whole ones go early. Weekend celebration cakes are booked by phone at 250-590-2780, weekdays 8 to 1.
